From receiving an email that you've got an audition, to sending off a tape you feel confident in (and then letting it go) - this class will go over the entire audition taping process and how to do it all from the comfort of your own home. It will be a thorough overview: a way to make sure you're not missing a step and can drop into & be proud of the work you're doing. These days actors have to be in charge of ALL the tech in addition to our job: the acting. We're a one-man-band and I know this can be frustrating - you miss the adrenaline of the room, the collaboration aspect, getting to bounce off actual humans. Self taping can be lonely - but it doesn't have to be, ya know? Not only will this workshop include time saving hacks, a way to streamline your set up process, and what to focus on in your actor prep, but you will leave feeling empowered, supported, and excited for that next audition to hit your inbox.

SELF TAPE BASICS
The must haves that your tape needs to satisfy & how to achieve that from your home. From an expert who's been on both sides of the camera - in over 100 casting sessions as a reader, 500 auditions as your audition friend & 10+ years as a professional actor auditioning like you.
ACTING PREP
We each have our own unique process & approach to the craft and I believe you should absolutely use whatever technique works for you. But there are little things to prep or think about during the memorization & character building stage that will show up in a big way during the tape.
SELF TAPE HACKS
Setting up equipment for a tape can feel like a chore. So I'll give you cheats for eye-lines, camera height, virtual reader setup, slates & other easy tech tips that will streamline the process.
